Pastor Vernon L. Bell
Vernon L. Bell is a lifelong resident of Covington, Georgia. He is the youngest son of Pastors Lamar and Elsie Bell. After graduating from Newton County High School he attended Savannah State College and later continued his education at West Georgia College. Pastor Vernon accepted his call to ministry in 1996 and was ordained as an Associate Pastor in 2007.
He studied under great men of God such as Pastor Lamar Bell, Dr. Creflo Dollar, and Bro. Kenneth Copeland. Under their leadership and teaching, Pastor Vernon began to identify with who he was in Christ. Understanding that it is not his love for God, but God’s love for him that causes him to triumph.
An effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Vernon is known for his practical teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives. He leads the Men’s Ministry at FOJM and is the founder of Situation Change, which is a corporate prayer ministry at FOJM.
Pastor Vernon loves doing the work of the Lord, but his greatest joy are his children, Ahmad, Ah’Keriya, Christian and Cayden.
